A charming vintage copy of Five Little Peppers and How They Grew by Margaret Sidney, published by Grosset & Dunlap.

This copy includes its wonderfully colorful original illustrated dust jacket, with matching artwork along the spine. Inside is a fascinating wartime notice explaining that the book was produced under government regulations for the conservation of paper and other essential materials.

The dust jacket shows plenty of age and character, including edge wear, chipping and small tears, all shown in the photos. Interior pages also show normal age-related toning and spotting. Still very readable.

A lovely old copy for a vintage book collection, bookshelf display, or someone who remembers the Five Little Peppers.
