Randi-Sue Deckard

Hi there! I’m Randi-Sue. I’m lucky enough to have found my soul mate and we have two children and a menagerie of pets. We live in a suburb of the DFW (Dallas Fort Worth) metroplex called Coppell. The parks system is great and we even have a Nature Center with trails within walking distance from our house. Coppell is in the process of reviving the old downtown and our family loves to go to the Farmer’s Market every Saturday especially when Texas peaches are in season! There’s nothing juicier!

While DFW has lots of malls including the famous Galleria, I prefer to shop from small local businesses and boutiques. One of my favorite local haunts is Main Street Grapevine which is only a 10 minute car drive away. Grapevine has revived the old downtown area and I love to browse through all the boutiques, artist’s galleries and grab a bite too. I have purchased everything from Crocs to antiques in one day! I always have to stop at Auntie's Beads to make sure my bead stash isn’t running dangerously low.

When we get a hankering for southern fried chicken, we pop over to downtown Carrollton for some home cooking from Babe's. The kids love when someone is celebrating a birthday because they make you wear a chicken hat, stand on a chair and sing! After such a filling meal, you can take a stroll around the square and visit the gift boutique, Honey of a Deal. I’ve snagged some really cute finds including a purse made from jeans with a blinged out belt! Love it!

My daily web stops include Funky Finds and of course Wickedly Chic. Who doesn’t enjoy the thrill of an unique find and all with the click of your mouse?!

When not shopping or surfing, you can find me working in my home studio experimenting with fused glass and taking my frustrations out on sheet metal. Check out my jewelry & dÈcor items online at Designing Diva.

Thanks to Randi-Sue for all of the great shopping tips!
